Coroner confirms identity of 86-year-old male that died following an accident on Highway 97 Friday

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near 150 Mile Friday.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near 140 Mile House on Dec. 7, 2012.

He was Carl Rosk, aged 86, of Williams Lake.

Rosk was the driving northbound when his vehicle was in a head-on collision with a southbound pickup truck on Highway 97 around 11 a.m. Rosk was transported by ambulance to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, but succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Road conditions were noted to be poor at the time.

Rosk's family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
