City changes its mind on hiring CAO

Mayor Kerry Cook and council have decided that Don DeGagne will not be appointed as chief administrative officer for City of Williams Lake.

Mayor Kerry Cook and council have decided that Don DeGagne will not be appointed as chief administrative officer for the City of Williams Lake on March 1.

“We have great respect for the many years of experience, accomplishments and skills that Mr. DeGagne has to offer, said Cook.

“However, Council has decided that this was not the best fit for our particular needs at this time.”

The City will be continuing its search for a new CAO.

“We wish Mr. DeGagne the best of luck and we are confident that, with his experience, accomplishments and skills, he will have success in his future endeavours," Cook said.
