Williams Lake city council received the third quarter economic indicators report, which provides a snapshot of the third quarter of 2013, compared to the third quarters of previous years.
The report gives an “at a glance” look at some of the economic indicators in the community.
Building permit values are higher than the entirety of 2012, and the unemployment rate has dropped to 6.5 per cent from 8.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2012.
The value of home sales in the Williams Lake region has also increased, the report said.
