The body of 35-year-old Shane Colebank of Deep Creek who slipped while dip-net fishing on the Fraser River at Xat’sull Heritage Site Road on July 31 has been recovered.
Police said on Friday, Aug. 5, at 3:35 a.m. the Williams Lake RCMP received information of a body in the Fraser River three kilometers north of Dog Creek.
Officers, with the assistance of conservation officers and RCMP Air 3 support, were able to retrieve the body.
The BC Coroners Service has taken over the investigation and will not be releasing further information.
