Highway 20 near Bella Coola is closed due to a wash out.
According to Drive B.C., Highway 20 is closed in both directions 25 kilometres east of Bella Coola to 40 km west of Anahim Lake.
The Central Coast Regional District says the Hagensborg area is without water. Those in need can receive potable water in the Bella Coola townsite, townsite Hardware, and Snootli Hatchery.
The BC River Forecast Centre is upgrading the high streamflow advisory to a flood watch for the Central Coast.
It was about this time last year that major floods wreaked havoc on Bella Coola and surrounding communities, causing massive infrastructure damage.
