A man from the South Cariboo died as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle incident (MVI) on the Beaver Lake Road near the community of Big Lake last weekend.
Williams Lake Staff Sgt. Del Byron said police received a report of the MVI at about 5:03 p.m. Saturday, Oct 1.
Byron said the initial police investigation revealed the vehicle went off the road left and became airborne before striking a BC Hydro pole in the 2800 block of Beaver Lake Road, downing wires.
The BC Coroner Service said the victim was Michael Loren Hendry, 44, of 108 Mile Ranch.
