Arrest follows vehicle collision

After a foot chase, police apprehended one male following a motor vehicle collision Saturday afternoon.

At about 2:30 p.m., the Williams Lake RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a Chevrolet Corsica and a Toyota Rav-4 on 10th Avenue. The Toyota was travelling northbound on 10th Avenue and Corsica westbound on Smedley Street. The Corsica failed to stop for the stop sign on Smedley and broadsided the Toyota. No one was seriously injured but two males in the Corsica fled on foot. One of the fleeing occupants was apprehended by police after a foot pursuit.

Police continue to investigate.
