Rescue workers used a saw to help free the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident about midnight July 1 that blocked traffic for a period of time on Highway 97 between the "y" intersection and the Carson Street lights. The victim was taken to hospital. The RCMP say alcohol was a factor in the incident and are considering impaired driving charges.
