100 Mile RCMP investigating firearms theft

The 100 Mile RCMP are investigating a theft of firearms and related goods from a store in Lone Butte early Monday.

RCMP are looking for information on a break and enter at Lone Butte Sporting Goods where firearms and other related goods were stolen.

The 100 Mile RCMP are investigating a theft of firearms and related goods from a store in Lone Butte early Monday.

"On July 25, 2016, at approximately 1:45 a.m. the 100 Mile House RCMP were advised of a commercial alarm at Lone Butte Sporting Goods located at 6051 Lone Butte Horse Lake Rd in Lone Butte," said Cpl. Brian Lamb in a press release. "Upon arrival by members it was determined that the entrance to the building had been damaged and entry gained."

A large number of long arm firearms were taken, as well as rifle scopes, spotting scopes, and binoculars.

Police are currently at the business with the forensic identification section from the Williams Lake Detachment who are processing the scene to determine the extent of all items taken as well as possible evidence.

Police are asking for anyone who may have information in this incident to call the 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456 or Crimestoppers.
