Cariboo Archers on target in Quesnel competition

Four Cariboo Archers travelled to Quesnel to compete in their Indoor Target 18 Meter Goldpan 600 on Sunday, Jan. 28.

Then some Cariboo Archers shot onto the podium in Prince George over the following weekend.

Tony Szekely came first in Pre-cub Compound at his first-ever competition at the Quesnel shoot.

Cameron Prest placed first in Compound Unlimited Men in Quesnel at what was only his second competition.

Lily Fraser placed first in Junior Women Compound in Quesnel and tied her personal best score of 294/300, which coach Al Campsall said is a very difficult feat during competition.

Al Campsall placed first in Quesnel in Masters 70 Compound.

Cara Fraser volunteered at the Quesnel shoot and was unable to compete due to an injury.

Hudson Huska, Celton Requarth, Dan Huska, Fred Streleoff, and Ernie Schmid all competed in the Prince George indoor 3D shoot Feb. 3 and 4.

Hudson Huska took top spot in Under 13 compound, Celton Requarth placed fourth in Under 13 compound. Dan Huska was sixth in Men’s compound fixed pins, Fred Streleoff was first in Men’s longbow, and Ernie Schmid was second in Men’s longbow.

For men looking to hone their skills or give the sport a try, some Gentlemen Only nights will include February 12, 19, 26 and March 4 also at 6-8 p.m.
