Mother-daughter duo, Cara Fraser, left, and Lily Fraser, centre, were once again topping podiums in archery.

Lily and Cara Fraser did it again, standing on top of the podium for archery, this time together as a mother-daughter second and first place finish.

The pair travelled to Abbotsford in July to compete in an archery finals for the Best of the West 3D Championships.

Both mom and daughter qualified by achieving great scores, said Al Cmapsall, and he said the pair were shooting against the best women 3D shooters in B.C.

Adam Lyons, Matt Watts and Al Campsall also qualified for the competition, but were not able to attend.  Lily and Cara fared very well, in the Abbotsford arena in front of a crowd.

Besides taking first place, Lily out-shot all other archers in the competition - including all of the men. Her mom Cara finished in second place beside her young daughter.

Shortly after this win, Lily, Cara and Campsall travelled to Quesnel to compete in an outdoor target archery competition as a warm-up for the Canadian Target Championships in New Brunswick.

All three archers shot well, reported Campsall.  Lily and Cara each shot personal best scores and Campsall himself shot a seasonal best.

Lily is now ranked third in Canada for Compound Cadet Women in Outdoor Target.  Cara is ranked sixth in Canada in Compound Women Outdoor Target.

All three of these archers, Lily, Cara and Campsall, were then heading for New Brunswick for 10 days of shooting in 3D, Field Archery and finally Outdoor Target competition.

By virtue of her great scores this year, Lily has earned the right to compete as a member of Team BC in 3D Archery as well as the provincial Target Team.
