Women have predominately made up the staff at the Williams Lake Tribune in recent years.

Kathy McLean has been leading the team as the publisher of the Williams Lake Tribune since 2014. Her critical role includes overseeing sales and marketing and editorial content, as well as circulation and office administration.

Melinda Mitchell has worked at the Tribune for a number of years, bringing enthusiasm and proficiency to her role in sales and marketing at the Williams Lake Tribune.

Angie Mindus is the regional editor of the Cariboo/North Thompson, as well as the editorial of the Williams Lake Tribune. She oversees the editorial content for community newspapers and online news in Ashcroft, Barriere, Clearwater, 100 Mile House, Williams Lake, Bella Coola and Quesnel and has a long history in editorial as a writer and photographer with Black Press Media.

Monica Lamb-Yorski has been writing for newspapers since 2002, writing her first article for the Prince Rupert Daily News.

In 2011, she joined the editorial team at the Williams Lake Tribune as a reporter, covering everything from hard news to bull sales and babies born en route to the hospital. Two autumns ago she added the role editor of Coast Mountain News to her responsibilities with Black Press Media.

Ruth Lloyd first worked for Black Press Media in Fort St. James at The Caledonia Courier and then took a break to do other jobs including biology, archaeology, and working for a community nonprofit.

After moving back to Williams Lake where she was born and raised, Lloyd joined the team at the Williams Lake Tribune in 2021, covering all aspects of community news.

Deb Rowat is the newest member of the Tribune team, starting at the Williams Lake Tribune in January of 2023. She has taken on the demanding role of office administrator for the Tribune.

On International Women’s Day, and every day, the team at the Tribune celebrates women’s achievements and strive to continue to share stories about inspiring women in our community, and the challenges they face.
