Rainfall warning issued for Bella Coola April 1, 2

A rainfall warning has been issued for Bella Coola Monday, April 1 to Tuesday, April 2 in the amount of 50 mm.

Environment Canada says a frontal system will bring rain to the north and central coasts.

“The rain will begin this morning and increase in intensity as the frontal system approaches. The most intense rain is expected in the early morning hours on Tuesday as the front passes through.”

Rain will continue Tuesday into the evening.

“Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible,” Environment Canada noted. “Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.”

Monday morning it is 12 C with lows of 5 C in the forecast for the evening. Tuesday the high is forecasted for 9 C with a low of 1 C.
