The Chilcotin Log Church at Hanceville has been destroyed by fire Saturday, Feb. 10.
The fire occurred in the early morning hours Saturday, destroying the building which is located along Highway 20 about 15 km east of Alexis Creek.
Alexis Creek RCMP Const. Timothy Ryskamp confirmed an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. He said there were no injuries.
Ryskamp said there have been no arrests made in connection with the church fire at this time.
The nondenominational church is owed by a non-profit society.
There are no fire protection services in the area.
