A boil water advisory has been issued for users of the Lac La Hache water system due to a pump failure.
The Cariboo Regional District issued the notice saying it remains in effect until further notice.
Water systems are tested regularly to ensure they meet public health regulations and as a result of the pump failure residents are asked to bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before using water from the system for:
- Drinking (or use an alternate, safe source of water)
- Cooking (if not boiled)
- Brushing teeth
- Washing Dishes
- Washing fruits or vegetables to be eaten raw
- Watering animals
- Also, please use hand sanitizer after washing hands.
