Karen Anderson loves the business she is running in Williams Lake and it shows.

Manager of Station 99, a new and used treasures market in Williams Lake, Anderson said working there is definitely her passion.

“Everything is so unique,” she said as a crew unloaded more inventory into the store Tuesday, March 26. “People say they cannot believe what we have.”

Items in the store come from estate sales and store closures, plus several vendors including Reclaimed Classics, Funky Junk, Robin’s Nest, Father Time and Builders Anonymous.

Anderson said she is looking for any vendors who sell hanging baskets for flowers, with flowers, and fruits and vegetables.

“I would really like to have those in place for spring and summer.

Outside tables are $20 to rent and booths are $45.

“If a person commits to the whole summer I can work with them on a price.””

Station 99 opened the end of October for weekends only and since mid-February has been open Tuesday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Originally from Cambridge, Ontario, Anderson moved to the Fraser Valley in 2012.

She relocated to 100 Mile in 2022 and opened a similar store, but with a restaurant.

“I had that just over a year and then they sold the building so I had to move.”

While shopping in Williams Lake one day she saw the warehouse at 99 Mackenzie Ave. North was available and inquired about it.

“My business partners and investors decided it was a good opportunity and here we are,” she said. “Everybody loves it and they love our prices.”

There is a children’s room inside where children can play while their parents are shopping and vendor Odds and Sods fixing watches and clocks on site.

Describing the people of Williams Lake area as amazing, Anderson said she found a nice place to rent and really likes the city.

Some customers have volunteered to help set up the store and help with the grand opening Saturday, April 6, which also has made her feel welcomed.

“I think it will be a wonderful thing for people who want to get out and about to come check us out,” she said.
