Hear ye, hear ye! Keep up and increase the support for the Medieval Market.
With great pride in our young, productive, positive, hard-working, talented high school students volunteering in all types of positions to raise funds for activities, I participated once again in a highlight of my year.
Yes, I was a paid participant as Town Crier, Quintet Plus choir and Williams Lake Community Band member.
But, as a proud citizen of Williams Lake and the Cariboo, I must say I spoke to nothing but hugely positive shoppers, performers, organizers and volunteers as I spent two days walking the floors at the high school venue. I met many people from out of town visiting, especially to shop among the many local and other vendors putting so much talent and effort into their wares.
I will assume the School District board and administration is doing everything possible to keep this wondrous event sustainable and accessible, given the great working and performing experience gained by so many students in the safest of venues.
Kudos to all the organizers, vendors, volunteers and performers demonstrating for thousands what great things our next generation is capable of, when provided with the right opportunity.
Make sure you let the school district know you want this back, better than ever.
