Quesnel RCMP investigate pedestrian death on Barkerville Highway

Quesnel RCMP are investing a collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian, an RCMP news release says.

On October 26 (Saturday) at around 7:46 p.m. a member of the Quesnel RCMP came upon a collision on the Barkerville Highway near the 4 Mile Store. A pickup truck had struck a pedestrian, a 64-year-old man, who was attempting to cross the road, RCMP said.

The pedestrian died as a result of the injuries sustained from the collision. The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and has been cooperative with the police investigation, RCMP said.
