BC Wildfire Service is responding to a wildfire approximately 15 km north of Lillooet on June 24.
The Tiffen Creek Wildfire (K70591) is being estimated at 30 hectares in size on the BC Wildfire Service website and is burning on a steep slope and is said to be highly visible from Highway 99 and the communities of Lillooet and Pavilion.
Two three-person initial attack crews, one 20-person unit crew, a response officer, a helicopter and airtankers have all been dispatched to the fire.
The fire was exhibiting rank three fire behaviour at the last posting on the BC Wildfire Service social media as of about 3 p.m.
This means the fire is displaying what is described as an organized flame front and a moderate rate of spread.
However, BC Wildfire Service said no structures were currently threatened by the blaze.
The fire was discovered on June 24, is listed as currently out of control and is suspected to have been human caused.
