Concrete Fitness Performances in the Park last Thursday evening in Boitanio Park, featured Robyn Ferguson and Sam Tudor, and Oren Barter (pictured). All three young musicians and singers performed some songs of their own creation. Barter says he plans to enter the next Canada’s Got Talent contest and encourages other local singer/songwriters to do the same.

Pharis and Jason Romero entertain the crowd on a beautiful sunny evening last Thursday as part of Concrete Fitness Performances in the Park. The Romeros were joined by the Drum and Bell Tower. The performances were the 100th in the concert series running over 10 years.

Chapin band offers a little nostalgia

Jessie Rajala Chapin (pictured) and her band, Lyndon Froese on lead guitar and Kevin Epp on keyboards and accordion entertained a full house at the Gibraltar Room July 28 during the Concrete Fitness Performances in the Park (held indoors due to rain) with songs written by Chapin and popular old songs from earlier decades. She has a special love for songs from the 40s and 70s.

Singer/songwriter Amber Bowen of 100 Mile House entertained the crowd with several songs she had written and finished off her set with a Janis Joplin style version of the blues song Me and Bobby McGee during the Concrete Fitness Performances in the Park event held in the Gibraltar Room, July 28 due to rain.

Colin Easthope (left), formerly of Williams Lake and now of Kelowna, and Joey Jacobson, on bass, performed with Brandon Hoffman on drums during the Concrete Fitness Performances in the Park concert, held in the Gibraltar Room last Thursday, July 28 because of rain. The Gibraltar Room was filled to capacity for the concert which also featured the Jessie Rajala Chapin Band and singer/songwriter Amber Bowen.
