Heads up vendors; here is a great opportunity to get out in the country as well as sell your wares, get  awesome exposure, plus a great drive with terrific scenery!

The Tatla Lake community is hosting its third annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, May 28 at the Barn Boutique at 5652 Eagle Lake Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We are trying a bit of a twist on the event this year in hopes of getting more artists, vendors and more customers to participate.

We have opened this up to an Artisan Fair, Vendor Sale and Uptown Garage Sale. There is a limit of 50 vendors (what a treat that will be if all spaces are filled).

By vendors, we are looking at home-based businesses, party-style sales and even local businesses that might want to show their wares.

We hope people will bring in good quality items to sell at the Uptown Garage Sale section of the event.

There is no charge for a spot but vendors are asked to donate an item for a silent auction, and place it on the corner of their table.

Half the auctioned price will go back to the vendor and the other half will go to the Dale Kerr Endowment Fund.

You are responsible for your own table and set up and we ask that you be ready for a 10 a.m. opening.

Dorothy Evens of Skinner Creek Farms will be running a Chinese food concession with up to six items to make your combo plate lunch.

The Tatla school parent advisory council will once again be on site with a hamburger, hot dog stand.

The Tatlayoko Fire Cache is also manning a dessert table.

You won’t leave hungry.

The Red Hat Ladies will be on hand to provide assistance when needed.  A 50/50 draw will take place, money going to the Wheel Chair Ramp for the Tatla Community Hall.

Please, all of you, give this some thought, maybe talk some friends or neighbours into also booking a table and coming to join us.

This is a great time to support your community, have lunch with friends and take home a few treasures.

Please e-mail Karen to book your spot at: karenandroy@xplornet.com.

Hope to see you there.
