Therisa Peimer, pictured above with Shane Tollefson, is one of the newcomers to the Studio Theatre this year and in fact a newcomer to Canada and Williams Lake.

Her program biography states that she is the mother of two teenage boys and wife to Jeff, a doctor.

She and her family are new to Williams Lake from Cape Town, South Africa.

Peimer says they are here to stay and she has already bought a pair of cowgirl boots.

She is a classically-trained dancer, novice singer, drummer and actress with very little stage work, but has acted in a student movie that was aired at the AFDA Student Film Festival in Cape Town.

In Office Hours Peimer plays the roles of Pam Gerard, Ellie Young, and Sharon Freeman.

Opposite Peimer in this scene above is Shane Tollefson, who plays Mark Young and Artie Barnes.

Butt Tollefson’s program biography points to a jester at heart.

Tollefson says he loved to act as a kid and that he wanted to attend Juilliard but couldn’t spell the school’s name correctly on the application form.

So he followed his father’s advice to “get yourself a trade, son,” and he went into the fur trade. “Of course, members of PETA were up in arms and put the kibosh on that.

“Go figure,” states Tollefson.

His past recent performances with the Studio Theatre include roles in On Golden Pond and The Good Game.
