Harvest Festival of Awesome Saturday

Live music, theatre, great food and farm produce all come together at the Harvest Festival of Awesome Saturday at the Oliver Street Market in Herb Gardner Park and continuing on into the evening with an after party at Beeotcheese Bistro.

Oren Barter will be among the performers entertaining Saturday at the Harvest Festival of Awesome.

Live music, theatre, great food and farm produce all come together at the Harvest Festival of Awesome Saturday at the Oliver Street Market in Herb Gardner Park and continuing on into the evening with an after party at Beeotcheese Bistro.

The Oliver Street Market and The Stew Magazine are getting together to put on this special day-long harvest festival.

All the regular vendors will be in Herb Gardner Park for the festival Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Entertainers will include Oren Barter, Soupbone Blues, Amber Bowen, Catfish and Cariboo Muddy Waters.

The Studio Theatre players will be there to put together a Play In a Day for your entertainment.

Watch as individual groups battle downtown businesses for the title of Stew Champion 2011. Prizes have been donated by many downtown businesses and groups.

Saturday evening the party moves to Beeotcheese Bistro for dinner and an evening of entertainment by Soupbone Blues, Jordan Holmes, and a performance by the Studio Theatre Players.

The local food buffet dinner includes salmon, rainbow trout, roast beef, root vegetables and salads.

Tickets to the evening party starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and winding up around 1 a.m. Sunday morning are $10 and can be purchased at the Oliver Street Market and from Juli at 778-412-2600.
