Cariboo Chilcotin Elder College is once again offering a lively selection of brain food to stimulate the minds and bodies of members throughout the winter and early spring.

The Cariboo Memorial Hospital Auxiliary marks 88 years of service to the hospital in Williams Lake this year.

Venerable Canadian actor Antony Holland will perform at the Gibraltar Room in Williams Lake tomorrow evening as Professor Morrie Schwartz in a production of Tuesdays with Morrie.

The next film, Fish Tank, by the Williams Lake Film Club will be shown this coming Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Gibraltar Room.

She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to do what she loves and plans to remain true to herself, enjoy every minute of it and work as hard as she can and see where the career takes her. “I love what my classmates and I do because it’s so full of excitement. Yes it can be difficult and definitely tough on our bodies, but it is always so rewarding and at the end of the day we are fulfilling our dreams. I mean who else gets to sing and make people laugh all day? And get paid to do it!?”

A chemotherapy chair was purchased for the hospital’s ambulatory care unit in 1996 and donations of afghans are supplied for patients taking chemotherapy treatment.
