Youth Week activities planned

Several Youth Week activities are planned for Williams Lake

Several activities are coming up for youth in the city during Youth Week, May 1-7.

The Community Arts Council of Williams Lake presents Break It Down, a free workshop in the art and soul of hip hop performance, songwriting and lyrics, Wednesday, May 3 at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre starting at 4 p.m.

The workshop features instructors Beka Solo and Rich Mac.

Voices: An Evening of Musical Uncensored Performances by Youth takes place on Monday, May, 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lake City Secondary School Williams Lake campus.

Admission is free.

Refreshments and prizes will be available.

All ages are welcome but organizers warn that some content may be inappropriate for younger children.
