The second annual women’s Diwali, Festival of Light charity fundraiser will take place this Saturday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Elks Hall.
This special dinner/dance fundraiser for women only includes door prizes, snacks, music, dinner and dancing to raise funds for Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
Last year the event raised $5,000 for the hospital and they hope to raise even more this year, says Sharen Rai, one of the event organizers.
