The Women’s Contact Society will hold its annual general meeting on Monday, Sept.10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the women’s centre above Caribou Ski on First Ave.
Following the AGM there will be a discussion on human trafficking with Eva Navrot and Dina Kennedy, chair of the Human Trafficking Committee.
Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be provided.
In order to prepare for the meeting people who would like to attend the AGM are asked to reply by Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Starting on Thursday Aug. 16, the Women’s Contact Society will also be offering a new free fitness program with a licensed Zumba instructor. Classes will be on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the contact centre’s board room. To register please call 250-392-4118. Drop-ins are welcome. However, limited space is available.
