Wolves important part of our ecosytem

Wolves of the Yukon author speaks at the Williams Lake library tomorrow.

The Williams Lake library is inviting the public for a conversation with Bob Hayes, the author of Wolves of the Yukon, a fascinating book that explores the natural history of the Yukon since the last ice age through the eyes of the wolf.

Published in 2010, Wolves of the Yukon recognizes the wolf’s significance in the Yukon and its economic importance to the region in the 20th century.

It raises questions concerning our management of large carnivores, big game, and hunting in the 21st century and reflects on our use and conservation of one of the largest remaining tracts of complete wilderness on the continent.

The event will be held in the library program room at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16.
