After a sold-out run of the first production in their 2023-24 season, Williams Lake Studio Theatre (WLST) are already releasing tickets for their next show — Mamma Mia!

The jukebox musical featuring the music of iconic Swedish pop group ABBA centres around a young woman about to marry her fiancé and attempting to find out the identity of her father.

Mamma Mia! will be the second production in the theatre group’s 69th season.

The show will run February 21 to 24, February 28 to March 2 and March 6 to March 9. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the shows, with curtain at 7:30 p.m.

The play is being directed by Rebecca Strickland and will star Sienna McCarvill in the lead as Sophie.

Tickets are available in person at The Open Book and online at wlstudiotheatre.ca and are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, students and children in person, with $2 charge for online purchase.

The WLSTS are also offering open auditions for six roles in the next and final production in their season: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Auditions will take place at the WLST Society at the old Glendale Elementary School Jan. 7 and 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Roles will be for adults 18 and up.
