The Williams Lake Stampeders’ hockey season may be on the fritz, if the team can’t raise enough funds to pay for bus repairs before the hockey season starts.
Every season the team travels in the team bus to compete against other teams to other hockey towns such as Terrace, Hazelton, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Quesnel, Smithers and Vanderhoof.
Unfortunately, last season the bus broke down. The team has found parts to purchase, and someone to make the repairs but they need assistance in raising the funds to have it fixed.
They are having a silent auction from June 9 to June 12 online. The link is here.
On Friday, June 9 the Stamps organization will be at Margetts Meats from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. selling smokies.
On Saturday, June 10 at Northside Village above the Tourism Centre 1700 South Broadway there will be a garage sale for all those garage sale enthusiasts.
The Stampeders are a not for profit organization that is entirely run by volunteers and supported by sponsors and donations. Any donations for the silent auction; items to auction, gift certificates or a monetary donations, are appreciated.
