For more than a year St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Williams Lake has been running a free store and serving a hot meal.

“We are here the second Friday of every month,” said Reverend JoAnn Hinter.

Volunteer Elaine Watt said they are seeing 40 to 50 people shop at the store and 30 to 40 people enjoy a bowl of soup and a bun.

“We tell the agencies about the free store and others hear about it through word of mouth,” Watt said.
