Critical Mass Bike Ride

& Walk Event

June 2

Leaving from Spirit Square, riders, walkers and rollers meet up at 5 p.m. for a fun, friendly event to celebrate getting out and riding, rolling or walking through our community. Free and open to everyone.

38th Annual Big Lake

Fishing Derby

Jun 2, 3, 4

Fishing derby, dance, prizes, and beer garden. Registration is $15 per adult, $10 per seniors, and $5 for children on Friday, $25 per adult $20 per senior, $10 per child under 12 for Saturday.

Williams Lake Fire

Department Open House

June 3

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 230 Hodgson Road, there will be hot dogs and smokies, live demonstrations, a dunk tank and bouncy castle.

Swing into Golf Tournament

June 3

The sixth annual golf tournament by the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce. 10 a.m. start, $100 per person, sign up at the Tourism Discovery Centre or 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the event.

Mud Puddle Run

June 4

Starting from the Ross Road parking lot on Fox Mountain, the event will offer a five-kilometre family run and a 10 km competitive route. Check-in starts t 9:30 a.m. and race begins at 10 a.m. Children are $5 to enter, $10 youth, $15 for adults and $20 for a family of four.

Kidney Walk 2023

in Williams Lake

June 4

This year’s event will start at the RC Cotton Park at 10 a.m. Participants sign up as either individual participants or as a team and seek pledges to benefit the Kidney Foundation.

Williams Lake Stampede

Association Work Bees

June 5, June 19

Come on down from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and lend a hand to make sure the Williams Lake Stampede goes off without a hitch by helping get the Stampede grounds whipped into shape for the big event.

A Tribute to Paul Simon

June 10

A Horsefly Community Club Fundraiser event featuring Paul Simon songs performed by long list of local musicians. Dean Baumann, Jen Charters, Brandon Hoffman, Jenny Howell, Tanja Iwan, Cornelius Iwan, Devin Kroeger, Brent Morton, Ciel Patenaude, Cole Patenaude, Pharis Romero, Jason Romero, Mike Tudor, and more.

All ages event beginning at 7 p.m., tickets are available at Clarke’s General Store and the Open Book, $20 per person, under 12 are free.

Sunset DH Bike Race Series

The May 23 event was delayed due to weather and will instead by May 30. Entry is $5 and registration will take place starting at 5 p.m. at the Tourism Discovery Centre on Broadway. Doug Campbell – Hits from

the Legion

The Legion Branch 139 Pasta Nights presents former laketown alumni Doug Campbell – Hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

This event will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Legion at 385 Barnard Street.

The Station House Gallery is hosting this event. Buy and sell your distinctive discards, preloved items or art and locally crafted or created items. Message the Station House for a vendor spot or for more information.

Fox Fest mountain bike event

June 18

Family-friendly mountain biking event with free shuttles, fun for kids of all ages.

Participants must be members of the Williams Lake Cycling Club to ride shuttles. Event will be centred at the Tourism Discovery Centre on Broadway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Williams Lake Studio Theatre Society Yard Sale

June 24

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WLST (Old Glendale School). Furniture, clothing, and more.

Fast Fox Trail Race

June 24

Trail run event hosted by the Cariboo Run Crew. Start and finish at the Tourism Discovery Centre with distances of 15 km starting at 8 a.m. and five km starting at 8:30 a.m. Register in advance of Tasco Supplie or online with the QR code from their Facebook Page.

Pickleball Tournament

June 24 and 25

Pickleball tournament at the Williams Lake Recreation Complex in Rink 2.
