Thompson Rivers University in Williams Lake is hosting a full day of activities to mark Aboriginal Day June 21.
The event is in honour of residential school survivors with tributes by hand drummers.
Activities include a traditional Lehal tournament from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pow wow from noon to 5 p.m. and a designer’s fashion show starting at 5:30 p.m..
Closing ceremonies and awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m.
There will also be craft and vendor tables and concessions.
People are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
