Wednesday, Oct. 19 Sharon Smith presents a fascinating slide presentation about her journeys in South Africa.  Smith has captured great images of the land, people, and animals of this beautiful and enticing country.

“Then on Wednesday, Nov. 16 Sue and Art  Lacourciere will take you on a wonderful trip through Southern Spain,” says organizer Barry sale.

Presentations take place in the St. Andrew’s United Church hall downstairs.

Admission is by donation. Dessert and coffee are served at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

“It is a great way to visit all those places which are on your secret, or not so secret bucket list,” Sale says. “Come on out for an enjoyable evening of fellowship and discovery.”

Diamond Dinner

There were only six tickets left Tuesday for the Diamond Dinner fundraiser for the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre and Women’s Contact Society Saturday, Oct. 22 at The Point.

There will be auctions, raffles, door prizes and the annual diamond raffle draw valued at $3,200.

If there are any tickets available for this popular $75 a plate fundraiser they will be available at the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre.
