Touch of purple to help with the cause

Hannah Chorney at Intrigue Hair Studio places a purple extension in the hair of Mayor Kerry Cook who volunteered to be one of more than 25 people sporting purple streaks and hair in support of the Purple Ribbon campaign. Purple ribbons are also being distributed throughout the community with a request that people wear the ribbons and pass on the information on the cards that come with the ribbons. Tuesday, Dec. 6, is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada.
