They love the sport of rodeo and what is not to like about a top-row seat in the shade of a stand of poplar trees on a sunny, warm Saturday at the Esk’et Rodeo?

These three Esketemc First Nation women — Rosie Robbins (from left) with her mother, Bertha Robbins and Cheryl Johnson are taking time out from rodeo committee member chores to enjoy watching a bit of the hometown rodeo they helped to host and organize.

All three ladies are former competitors and avid rodeo fans, and Rosie was also rodeo royalty as the Williams Lake Stampede Princess.
