Auditions are taking place next week for the first of the Studio Theatre’s live plays for its 2014/15 season.

The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow will be directed by Curt Sprickerhoff and will be on stage in November. Auditions will be at the Studio Theatre Aug. 24 and Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. each evening.

The director needs one female, one male and two actors willing to play a variety of roles.

Other plays in the 2014/15 season include Die Theatrically by Mat Kelly to be staged in January.

Then there will be two plays by the late local playwright Gwen Pharis Ringwood scheduled for staging March to celebrate the Studio Theatre’s 60th season — Still Stands the House and Garage Sale.

In May the Studio Theatre will put on the play Proof by avid Auburn.
