The Realm of Toys owners are hopping ahead with plans to host their first in-store Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15.
The popular toy store will be closed Friday through Monday, except for the special Easter Egg Hunt that will take place from noon to 4 p.m., said co-owner Jazmyn Douillard.
“We are looking forward to seeing kids have some Easter fun,” Douillard said.
Easter Eggs of various types including chocolate, bubble gum, and jelly bean will be hidden around the store for children to find, she says.
She said the Easter Egg Hunt will be a new experience for them so she asks people to be patient if there are lineups.
People will be let into the store in groups and the store will be closed periodically for five minutes or so between sessions to restock the shelves.
Unfortunately Douillard said they are still recovering from the effects of two separate attempts last week by thieves trying to break into the store.
Fortunately, however, she said the attempts were unsuccessful but did cost the store $2,000 in damages.
