The documentary The Hole Story will be shown in the Williams Lake library Program Room Wednesday, June 27 starting at 7 p.m. The showing is free.

The 52-minute documentary by Richard Desjardins and Robert Monderie explores the vast territories of northern Quebec and Ontario which contain a wealth of mineral resources.

For more than 100 years, they have been controlled by private companies governed by Canada’s Mining Act, which takes precedence over all other legislation.

This film explores the history of how these resources have been used, and the battles that have ensued.
