TDC hosts volunteer appreciation nights

Volunteers enjoy appreciation evenings

Wednesday, April 26

TCD volunteer appreciation

The third and final volunteer appreciation evening takes place at the Tourism Discovery Centre this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Presentation booths will be by the Williams Lake Stampede Association, Canadian Mental Health Association Cariboo Chilcotin Branch and United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo.

The evening includes snacks, and refreshments along with live music by Jenny Roberts.

“The volunteer appreciation events are for many different non-profit organizations to come together and thank their volunteers as well as potentially gain some new volunteers,” says Ashlee Hyde manager of resource and community development with United Way, which is co-hosting the event with the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce.

“We would like to invite everyone to come on out and be thanked for all they do in the community even if they are not already volunteering for one or many of the agencies participating in the events,” Hyde says.
