Studio Theatre hosts acting and directing workshop

The Williams Lake Studio Theatre is presenting an acting and directing workshop with Peter Hall, co-artistic director with Mortal Coil Performance Society.

Stage and film actor, director, puppeteer, teacher and writer, Peter Hall’s career in professional theatre has spanned more than 35 years.

His acting assignments have taken him across Canada and as far away as the Central Arctic and tours to Japan.

Directing credits have included original productions at the Caravan Farm Theatre, Runaway Moon Theatre, Mortal Coil Performance Society, Kaleidoscope Theatre and Sen,klip Native Theatre.

Many of the productions have involved the exploration and synthesis of puppets and actor.

Hall is the co-artistic director of Mortal Coil Performance Society where he directed Letters from Lithuania and Salmon Row and directed/produced four of the previous Ghost Train offerings in Stanley Park. Hall is also an instructor of diverse theatre disciplines for such organizations as Theatre B.C., ABCDE, and the B.C. High School Drama Festival.

Hall’s workshop takes place Saturday, April 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  and Sunday, April 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a barbecue on Saturday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
