Street Fest, Street Party ready to go in Williams Lake

All street fest activities will take place on Second Avenue between Borland Street and Sandtronics

Stampede Parade-goers will be able to roll on down to the Potato House Summer Street Fest, Saturday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The lineup for food vendors includes The Little Fennel Cup, Epic Journey Eatery, The Rotary FUNchaiser Hot Dogs, Boozy Baking, Pete’s House Home Style Cooking and Xin Tea.

Market vendors include Avon and Grandma Ninja, RLJ Manufacturing, Dreaming Hands, ReDress by Tanis, Plunder by Andrea, Sweet Pea’s Studio, The Pup Baker, Fox Mountain Design Co, Crafty Creations WL and Artwear Jewelry.

Making up the entertainment section are Dean’s Airbrush Tattoos, Williams Lake Studio Theatre Society, Cariboo ART BEAT with Tiffany Jorgensen custom artwork providing face painting, The Moonlit Gypsy, Street DJ with In A Chord, Dance Dome, wrecking ball and more by Party Kings Co.

All street fest activities will take place on Second Avenue between Borland Street and Sandtronics.

The 14th Annual Micro Stampede Street Party hosted by Kit and Kaboodle will begin after the parade in the Hodgson Place Mall parking lot at 83 Second Ave. South.

Events will include live entertainment, First Nations hand crafts, food and drink, including hot dogs and hamburgers, ice cream and mini donuts, carnival games, a kids talent show, play zone, face painting and Lehal, plus more than $3,000 in prizes.

The talent show is open to children seven and under. Everyone is encouraged to join for a chance to win fantastic prizes. It takes place on the stage at MBO. Contact 250-398-5121 or info@kitandkaboodlewl.ca to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The party goes until 3 p.m.
