Stampede Whirlaways host spring jamboree

Madge Struthers and partner Gil McCall of Williams Lake (left) and Henry and Helen Hall of Lac La Hache were among square dancers from all around the province who converged in Williams Lake over the weekend for the Stampede Whirlaway’s 53rd Annual Williams Lake Wild West Mainstream Jamboree held in the Glendale Elementary school gymnasium Friday through Sunday. Nick Turner was the local caller for the event and his wife Mary Anne Turner was the cuer. Dustin McGifford was the guest caller. Norm Cox, president of the B.C. Square Dance Federation, also attended the event.
