The 2017 Williams Lake Stampede Dinner Dance and Auction is coming up Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Elks Hall.

The evening features live and silent auctions, the fun loonie toss, dinner and later dancing to the music by the popular local country/southern rock band, One in the Chamber.

The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for Stampede and is greatly supported by local residents and businesses, says Stampede president Tim Rolph.

So far, live auction items include a flight for two to Vancouver, four tickets and VIP passes to a BC Lions game and jewelry.

Rolph said he is very pleased that Retirement Concepts have once again come on as a presenting sponsor along with Woodland Jewellers and Pacific Coastal Airlines.

“It’s really a fun evening, and it’s our unofficial kick off to the Stampede season,” said Rolph.

“It’s become an important social event. So many people look forward to it.”

Tickets are $40 per person or $300 for a table of eight and are available at Margetts Meat and the Tourism Discovery Centre.

“It’s always a sell-out. Tickets are going fast.”
