The Central Cariboo Hospice Palliative Care Society in Williams Lake is holding its annual spring raffle June 1 to 29, says executive director Kate McDonough.

“The first prize is once again a very special and beautiful handmade quilt and cushion, donated by the Cariboo Piecemakers,” McDonough says.

Second prize is a Kitchen Aid hand mixer, donated by Laketown Furnishings and third prize is a decorative bird feeder, donated by Beaver Valley Feeds. Tickets are $2. Proceeds go to the provision of hospice care and furnishing the new Palliative Care Family Room at Deni House.

The quilt, cushion and the other prizes are displayed at the Open Book on Oliver Street. Tickets are available at the Open Book, Thyme for Tea in 150 Mile House and at the Lakeside Motel, and at the hospice office at 530 Fourth Ave. beside the hospital.
