Easter Extravaganza at Kit and Kaboodle from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Face painting, games and an Easter craft, by donation with proceeds going to the BGC Williams Lake programs for youth.

April 3

Silvicola film screening. Williams Lake Film Club is hosting a screening of the film, a documentary looking at all aspects of the forest industry. Doors at 6:30 p.m., film at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available at The Open Book or at the door.

Book Launch of Finding Your Purpose: A guidebook to a more meaningful life

At the Tourism Discovery Centre noon to 3 p.m. meet local authors Cindi Saj and Christa Smith, hear a reading from the book or purchase a copy and have it signed.

Bowl for Kids Sake 2024

Big Brothers and Big Sisters Williams Lake annual fundraising event will once again take place at the Cariboo Bowling Lanes to raise funds for the organization. This year’s theme is Mythical Creatures at the Enchanted Forest. To book a lane for your team, call 250-398-8391 or go to the group’s social media page.

The Silent Stoning book launch at the Tourism Discovery Centre (TDC)

From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., stop by to meet self-published author, motivational speaker and advocate Jeeti Pooni and enjoy refreshments. Tickets available at the Cariboo Friendship Society and TDC. Ticket proceeds to go to Chiwid Transition House and Peace Program. Book signing and book sales.

April 11

Dirt Relations Film premiere at the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Centre.

Doors at 6:30 p.m., show at 7 p.m. at 90 fourth Avenue N. The local premiere of the documentary Dirt Relations, the story of the Indigenous Youth Mountain Bike Program. Featuring Williams Lake’s own trailbuilder Tom Schoen. Two short films will be screened along with the main feature, The Trails Before Us, featuring a Diné mountain biker Nigel James and episode 4 of Here, There, Everywhere @dvrgntm inds. Episode 4 takes place in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island, visiting the Yuulu?il?an Nation.

A Night in the Tropics

Williams Lake Daybreak Rotary fundraising dinner for their Starfish Backpack Program. Dinner and auctions at the Chances Signal Point Pioneer Room. Doors at 6 p.m., tickets are $75 at Sandtronic, 19+ years only.
