Scout Island Nature Centre is offering a summer full of fun exploring the world of animals, birds and their habitats.
The program Discovering Nature Up Close runs weekdays July 4 to Aug. 26 with a new program each day.
Children ages three to eight meet mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and/or afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m.
Children ages 8 to 13 meet Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. The shorter sessions are $10 a day each and the longer sessions are $20 a day each.

The nature centre will also hold a week-long Nature Explorers Camp for children ages 7 to 13 from July 11 to 15 which includes an overnight trip to a nearby farm.
Children will explore nature, experiment, draw, sing and play.
The camp runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scout Island Nature Centre with the overnight trip to the farm starting at 1 p.m. Thursday and returning to the nature centre at 11 a.m. Friday morning of the July 11 to 15 week.
