Salvation Army reminds public of Christmas needs

As the Christmas season approaches the Salvation Army is reminding the public about its 2014 Christmas hamper and toy registration programs.

As the Christmas season approaches the Williams Lake Salvation Army is reminding the public about its 2014 Christmas hamper and toy registration programs.

Hamper registration days take place from Monday to Friday at the Salvation Army dining room on Nov. 17-21 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The final hamper registration date is Thursday, Nov. 27, during the same time frame.

The WLSA food and toy distribution day takes place on Friday, Dec. 19 at the church sanctuary at 267 Borland Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Christmas hampers will only be distributed to clients whose applications have been approved and identification and a hamper registration card must be on hand for pickup.

Additionally, the Salvation Army Christmas kettles campaign kick-off goes Nov. 15 at Walmart beginning at 1 p.m.

Additional kettle locations will include Walmart, Canadian Tire, Wholesale Club, Save-On-Foods, Safeway and the B.C. Liquor Store.
