Canada’s rodeo royalty Miss Rodeo Canada Princess Kirsten Braumandl (left) and Miss Rodeo Canada Kezia Morrison are in the lakecity this week for the Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo.

They have  been helping to promote the sport of rodeo with a team of young rodeo enthusiasts who gave presentations at 150 Mile and Cataline elementary schools.

They attended a banquet in their honour at Carmen’s Restaurant where they were given the opportunity to meet the 2011 Stampede Queen contestants and provide them with some coaching in etiquette and tips for serving as rodeo royalty.

They are also attending the annual bull sale this week and visiting with seniors. In between they have squeezed in radio and newspaper interviews and a photo session. The duo will be participating in all facets of the Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo today, through Sunday at the Cariboo Memorial Complex.

They will be participating in the rodeo grand entry each day, signing autographs in the lobby, helping out at the volunteer dinner and pancake breakfasts and at the ceremonies for the B.C. Cowboy Hall of Fame inductees on Sunday.
