The Quintet Plus choir amazed the audience at the Cariboo Festival choir concert Tuesday evening, April 19 at St. John Lutheran Church with a powerful rendition of a modern piece with a multi-national flavour called Kasar Mie la Gaji. Translated the title means The Earth is Tired, a fitting tribute to Earth Day this Friday. In addition to Quintet Plus the concert featured the Cariboo Children’s Choir, Maranatha Christian School primary choir, and the Cariboo Men’s Choir. At the end of the concert vocal adjudicator Norene Morrow of Kelowna presented Quintet Plus with the Cariboo Festival’s high point choir award and Jessie Chapin (left) with the festival’s choir conductor award.
